AUSTIN (KXAN) — The U.S. Marshals-led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested a woman Thursday morning on a murder charge out of Austin.According to the LSFTF, law enforcement officials arrested Brittney Curry, 32, of Pflugerville, in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred March 18 in the 300 block of Deen Avenue in north Austin. RELATED: Officials responding to fatal shooting in north Austin At the scene, Austin police officers found a man, later identified as 20-year-old Barry Dockery, lying in the backyard with a gunshot wound. ST. LOUIS - Police have arrested a man accused of throwing rocks at cars from a bridge onto a St. Louis highway. Phillip Carter, 37, is behind bars in connection with the rock-throwing incidents. He was booked into jail Friday after being questioned in the investigation, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. ST. LOUIS - A man was robbed at gunpoint by his girlfriend's son and two others Friday in north St. Louis while he was working on his girlfriend's son's car. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department says the situation unfolded around noon Friday in the 6000 block of Emma Avenue in the Walnut Park West neighborhood. The victim told police he was starting to work on his girlfriend's son's car when he went inside the home to find the proper equipment. The son, along with another woman, entered the victim's home while he went inside. SAN FRANCISCO – A 36-year-old Oakland man is facing up to life in prison after a jury convicted him of child sex trafficking and producing child pornography, federal prosecutors said.The jury found Kenneth Orlando Sparks guilty of trafficking the teenage victim on the “Blade,” a term used to describe commercial sex strips in San Francisco and Oakland, as well as recording videos of himself having sex with the victim in July 2019.In a statement Thursday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Sparks arranged to transport the teen to and from the Blade and offered her advice and instruction while she was working.
