ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Empire Live in Albany will be hosting a performance by iconic punk rock band Bad Religion. The concert is scheduled for October 25. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! The longstanding punk group from Los Angeles has released 17 studio albums across their multi-decade career. The show is a stop on the band's fall tour across the United States. Bad Religion will be joined for the performance by punk band Speed of Light. The show is set to begin at 8 p.m. Albany’s The Egg allowing drinks in its theaters Empire Live is located at 93 North Pearl Street. The Department of Justice’s Office of Civil Rights has referred for federal criminal investigation the allegation that Colorado Springs police used excessive force in the violent arrest of a Black man last year, according to a letter released Monday by that man’s attorneys.The criminal referral, made last week by Michael Alston, director of the DOJ’s Office of Civil Rights, comes two months after the Colorado Springs Police Department announced an internal investigation had found officers did not use excessive force while arresting 29-year-old Dalvin Gadson in October 2022.“By referring this case for criminal investigation, the Department of Justice is putting these officers on notice,” Kevin Mehr, one of Gadson’s attorneys, said in a news release. “The CSPD may not take brutality seriously, but the DOJ does.”Representatives of the Colorado Springs Police Department were not immediately available for comment Monday.Alston’s letter states Gadson filed a ...Broncos stock report: A couple of impressive undrafted rookies, but troubling performances all around in trenches for Denver

Los Angeles County fire crews were battling a commercial fire in Irwindale Monday morning.The blaze was reported around 10:35 a.m. at 1418 E. Arrow Highway, according to the Fire Department.The initial emergency call went out as a possible explosion, though that has not been confirmed, officials said.Heavy smoke was visible from the blaze as Sky5 was overhead. By 11:30 a.m. much of the smoke had dissipated and flames were no longer visible. A clerk was fatally shot while confronting two suspected theives at a West Covina liquor store Sunday night, police said. The shooting was reported at Big Bob's Liquor and Market at about 8:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Puente Avenue.One person was shot and killed at a liquor store in West Covina on Oct. 8, 2023. (KTLA)Officers arrived to find the 34-year-old employee suffering from gunshot wounds outside the store. The unidentified victim was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. 34-Year-Old Rider Critically after Vehicle Collision near Cameron StreetLAS VEGAS, NV (October 10, 2023) – On Tuesday evening, multiple people were injured following a crash near Flamingo Road and Cameron Street.It happened just before 9:50 p.m., October 3rd, involving a BMW 1000RR motorcycle and a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe SUV.According to the LVMPD, the motorcycle was driven by a 34-year-old man with a 23-year-old passenger, and the Chevy was occupied by two people.Upon investigation, the LVMPD stated that the rider was driving recklessly and at high speeds westbound on Flamingo Road when he slammed into the Chevy headed east, and made a left turn at Arville Street.Furthermore, the paramedics transported the motorcyclist and his passenger to the UMC Trauma Unit with severe and critical injuries. 72-Year-Old Woman Arrested after Injuring Pedestrian in Crash near Jones BoulevardLAS VEGAS, NV (October 9, 2023) – On Monday night, Samy Acoca was arrested when she turned herself in after a hit-and-run crash near Jones Boulevard.It happened just before 10:00 p.m., October 2nd, near the area of Rancho Drive and Jones Boulevard, involving a pedestrian and a 2014 Hyundai Sonata driven by 72-year-old Samy Acoca.Upon investigation, the officers determined that a man in his 50s attempted to cross Rancho Drive outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by Acoca.Consequently, the paramedics arrived at the scene and they transported the man to University Medical Center in critical condition.Furthermore, Acoca fled the scene after the collision, but she turned herself in just moments later.Moreover, the authorities stated that impairment did not play a role in the crash.
