He tries to do his best to simulate that.“It’s a nice little weekly tradition that I can’t wait to get back.”Harbaugh opened his press conference Monday by hailing his assistants and players for nearly 10 minutes for their performance in a 30-24 win over Ohio State, a game he watched at home with his wife while he served the final game of his suspension.“Who could possibly have it better than us?” Harbaugh asked reporters ahead of his return to the No. 2 Wolverines’ sideline, which will come Saturday night in Indianapo...Officers shoot person with gun near Denver dumpster, police chief says

A South Florida woman learned a valuable lesson over the weekend—never be too trusting of people or technology. While shopping at a Miami Home Depot on Saturday, Camila Rodriguez discovered her Tesla’s recording captured a bold theft from her car. She said she made the mistake of not checking if her car was locked. Rodriguez is now speaking out in order to prevent more thefts from happening, especially during the holiday shopping season. “When I opened the trunk, surprisingly all of my shopping bags were gone,” said Rodriguez. “I think it’s important to identify this person, not because I want to do like a witch hunt or anything, but because I think it’s really important that he doesn’t do this to other people. That it doesn’t go unpunished.”Reviewing the Tesla footage revealed an individual approaching her car with what appeared to be a rag as he used it to access the door handles.“So we went over the recording right then...2 cousins of local man among 11 hostages released by Hamas

Joe West and Ed Montague, two umpires who were on the field for some of the most important moments in Red Sox history, are on the Baseball Hall of Fame’s Contemporary Era ballot this year.Though not exactly popular with players throughout his 44-season career and often criticized for his tendency to inflame, rather than deescalate tense situations on the field, West is likely to be inducted on the basis that he holds the all-time record, with 5,460 games umpired. He’s the only umpire to surpass Hall of Famer Bill “Old Arbiter” Klem, who set the previous record working games between 1904-41.In 1981, West made history as the youngest umpire to work a League Championship Series. It ended up being the first of 10, including the ALCS in ‘03, ‘04, ‘13, and ‘18. He famously declared Dave Roberts safe at second in Game 4 of ‘04, and when Alex Rodriguez infamously swatted the ball out of Bronson Arroyo’s glove in Game 6, it was West’s crew that ruled the Yankee slugger out for interference. ...After the Kowloon brawl on Thanksgiving Eve, Saugus Board of Selectmen anticipates police report

SAN FRANCISCO — Facebook parent Meta Platforms deliberately engineered its social platforms to hook kids and knew — but never disclosed — it had received millions of complaints about underage users on Instagram but only disabled a fraction of those accounts, according to a newly unsealed legal complaint described in reports from The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. The complaint, originally made public in redacted form, was the opening salvo in a lawsuit filed in late October by the attorneys general of 33 states including Massachusetts.Company documents cited in the complaint described several Meta officials acknowledging the company designed its products to exploit shortcomings in youthful psychology such as impulsive behavior, susceptibility to peer pressure and the underestimation of risks, according to the reports.Others acknowledged Facebook and Instagram also were popular with children under age 13 who, per company policy, were not allowed to use the service.Meta sa...Latest news
