Now, inflation is hitting Chipotle’s burritos and tacos.“For the first time in over a year, we will be taking a modest price increase to offset inflation,” Laurie Schalow, Chipotle’s chief corporate affairs officer, said in a statement sent to CNN. The company declined to share more details.Chipotle has been raising its prices over the past few years, citing higher costs. In June of 2021, Chipotle said it was raising prices about 3.5% to 4%. And in October of last year, it said prices were up about 13% compared to the year before. The fast casual chain is set to report third-quarter financial results on October 26.In recent years, food companies have been hiking prices, and closely monitoring how consumers react. So far at Chipotle, the increased prices haven’t scared people off — clearing the way for more expensive burritos.“We’re not seeing any weakness in the lower-income consumer,” Chipotle CEO Bria...

Flurry of goals carry eighth-ranked Andover past Needham

ANDOVER – The results of the tightest and chippiest field hockey games are often decided by what happens in one minute. But within four Saturday afternoon, No. 8 Andover got all the offense it needed to separate from No. 14 Needham in a 4-1 finish for arguably its biggest win this season.Rose Memmolo’s stroke late in the third quarter was the last of three goals the Golden Warriors (10-2) used in just over three and a half minutes to blow open a 1-0 halftime lead, erupting after accruing few shots on goal prior.Physicality and gritty defensive stops in a card-ridden matchup dominated play up until then, leaving no love to be lost between the two should they match up again in the Div. 1 state tournament – which wouldn’t be a surprise as the No. 3 (Andover) and No. 6 (Needham) teams in the latest MIAA power rankings. In the meantime, this is Andover’s first win over a fellow top-10 team in the rankings this season.“Every single one of them showed up today ready to play,” said Golden War...

Further, an encampment is at Stony Brook Reservation, DCR-regulated land located near the city-owned George Wright Golf Course, according to Boston’s parks and recreation commissioner.“There are smaller encampments that are now starting to pop up in surrounding neighborhoods, and it’s being driven by how dangerous Mass and Cass has become,” City Councilor Michael ...
